eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar..

I found the problem with sticking to a strict 90/10 Paleo/Primal eating plan previously was BOREDOM!

1/2 an apple + almonds + biltong

veg + veg + oil + beef

boring + boring + boring = off the wagon

There are only so many ways of getting your serves of protein, fat, and carbs before it gets a bit monotonous. But with proper prep, it doesn’t have to be so bland.

For the past 3 weeks on a Sunday and Monday I’ve crockpotted, sliced, diced, bagged and frozen enough portions of goodness to last me the week. No excuses.

1 big pot of meatballs and homemade paleo tomato/veg sauce lasted a week (and plenty still in the freezer). The meatballs have surfaced in a mexican salad with paleo guacamole, huge pile of greens, chillis etc. Crumbled on eggplant and baked in the oven, pizza style. On mashed kumara for a comforting feed.

Same goes for my “kitchen sink” stew- every veg in the fridge, beef strips + beef on bone…ooh the marrowy, fatty deliciousness 🙂

Today, thanks to Marks Daily Apple Primal Blog am a very satisfied kid. Delish!

Remember if you fall off the horse, get right back on, you pussy. If you slip and have a piece of cake at the office for your bosses birthday, it’s no excuse to have Macca’s for lunch, and pile up your plate with pasta and garlic bread for dinner. Had a “Cheat Friday” that turned into a “Cheat Weekend”? Remember how awesome and energized you feel when your nutrition is on track, and plan and pack your meals for the week ahead. Stick to your guns!
